Reflecting the Future - Youth Conference

The Adelaide conference will be about reflecting issues that affect youth

The Youth Conference Adelaide was an exploration of how we as young people participate in the world. Through a series of lectures, guided workshops, artistic activities, and focused discussion we investigated how we stand in relation to the past and the future. Most importantly the conference provided a time and place to meet, talk and share experiences with other young people from around Australia.

The conference's keynote speaker was Horst Kornberger, director of The School of Integral Art in Perth. Workshops at the conference included "Imagining the Future" experimental creative writing also with Horst Kornberger, "The Power of Presence" speech and movement with Dawn Langman, "World Café" group discussion of ideas with Martin Samson, "Nature's Forms" geometry in the natural world with John Blackwood, "From Darkness to Light" drawing in charcoal with Isobel Benson and "Environmental Sculpture" a site-responsive approach to transforming social space, with Evette Sunset.

The Youth Section

The Youth Section Australia (YSA) is an organisation formed by individuals interested in Anthroposophy who want the support of friends, mentors and other young people in their explorations and study. The YSA is also a network for people wanting help with initiatives based around Anthroposophical ideas.

The YSA exists to assist the formation of friendships between young people who are striving to be spiritually active. It is there to help members overcome the problems created by the vast distances of Australia.
