NetworkM - the Way of the Future

Go to the NetworkM

Given the success of the community surrounding the NetworkM site (if you haven't been there yet, check out www.thenetworkm.net), and given the lack of conversation on our own forum, we've decided to change the way our forum runs.

The NetowkM provides a wonderful online community, which we have decided to tap into. If you want to stay in touch with YSA members from around the world (and Australia) as well as people working on spiritual initiatives outside the YSA, the NetworkM is the place to go. Membership is free and easy to set up.

Here is how they describe themselves:

Around the country and around the globe, thousands of amazing people are working in many capacities, creating or working for organizations which benefit society in myriad ways. Many of these people are looking for a community to support them in their social, political, economic and artistic endeavors. And there are many more who would gladly take part, if only they knew about these groups and had a way to connect to their real peers.

NetworkM is the means for us to connect with each other. Through NetworkM we can foster an inclusive dialog between various movements (e.g. the Waldorf movement, social entrepreneurs, peacebuilders, the anthroposophical movement, NVC, etc.), thereby creating vibrant community and strengthening the potency of all our work.

The YSA Online Forum

As of the end of January, our forum (http://ysa.proboards40.com) will no longer exist. Instead, we encourage everyone to get on board at NetworkM and join their community in order to keep in touch. There are many exiting things happening over there including blogs, articles, podcasts, forums and local meetups. Membership of the networkm is free and easy to set up.

Although it is dissapointing to have to abandon our forum, we all feel it is pointless to hang on to something which is not working as it should. Our current forum has not had any posts for several months now, and this has been the rule rather than the exception over 2007. It is necessary to have ongoing community conversation and more importantly, visitors to our site and to the YSA must be able to see that our community is alive and kicking!

The YSA forum as it is today will still be up until the end of January, so if you have any posts or topics which you would like to keep, please login and save them before then. Once the forum is gone, we will work towards setting up a simpler bulletin board on the YSA homepage to look after announcements and conversations about the YSA itself (which obviously aren't really relevant to NetworkM).

Please read the forum rules and intructions before you post any messages.

If you are having trouble, send an email to  Evan
